In the predawn hours of a Wednesday in May 2014, the life of Darrell Coleman Hall was tragically cut short in a violent encounter on a southwest Atlanta street. On May 21, 2014, police responded to reports of gunfire in the 1800 block of Orlando Street around 3:15 a.m. There, they discovered the body of Mr. Hall, a 31-year-old African American male, lying in the roadway.
