In the early evening of November 2, 2024, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet in the 4200 block of Bayless Avenue near Affton, an area in St. Louis County. When officers from the Affton Southwest Precinct arrived at the scene around 7:25 p.m., they discovered the body of 21-year-old Jalin Sanders. He had sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Sanders was a resident of the 4400 block of Vermillion Drive.
