On the night of May 9, 2023, tragedy struck in the North Pointe neighborhood of St. Louis, Missouri. Brandon L. West, a 28-year-old male resident of Spanish Lake, was found fatally injured in the street. The incident occurred just after 10:00 p.m. in the 5900 block of Summit Place. St. Louis police officers responded to the scene and discovered West lying on the ground, suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the arrival of emergency responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
