In the late hours of a Thursday in the Kingsway West neighborhood of north St. Louis, the life of Devontea Strauther, a 30-year-old male, was tragically cut short. On April 13, 2023, at approximately 11:30 p.m., he was discovered on the ground in the 5100 block of Maffitt Avenue, the victim of a fatal shooting. Emergency services were called to the scene, but his injuries proved too severe, and he was pronounced dead right where he was found.
