In the late summer of 2009, a sense of loss befell the family and friends of Damion Turner Reese, a 28-year-old male who passed away in Savannah, Georgia, on Thursday, September 17, 2009. Born in Corsicana, Texas, on January 19, 1981, Damion was a 1999 graduate of Corsicana High School and had also attended Navarro College and the University of Texas at Arlington. He had been employed at the Boys and Girls Club of Arlington before embarking on a new chapter in his life.
