On March 28, 2024, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, 3-year-old Elijah Abreu Borgen tragically died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. The incident occurred around 11:53 a.m. when Elijah's mother called 911, reporting that her son had grabbed a gun and shot himself in the chest. Emergency responders transported Elijah to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, where he was pronounced dead from a gunshot wound to the torso. The Lehigh County Coroner's Office ruled the death accidental.
