On March 23, 2024, at approximately 4:23 a.m., the Fresno Police Department responded to a three-round ShotSpotter activation in the 100 block of East O'Neil Avenue in southwest Fresno. Upon arrival, officers discovered 47-year-old Ryan Lecour near a gate leading into an alley, suffering from a gunshot wound to his midsection. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, Lecour was pronounced dead at the scene.
Evidence collected at the scene, including shell casings, indicated that a handgun was used in the shooting. Witnesses reported hearing an argument between two unidentified individuals shortly before the gunshots. Detectives conducted interviews and sought additional information, including surveillance footage, to piece together the events leading up to the homicide.
During the investigation, detectives identified Elio “Games” Gamez as a person of interest in Lecour's death. Gamez was known to have an active felony warrant unrelated to this case. Authorities released his identity to the public, urging anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.
As of the latest available information, no arrests have been made in connection with Lecour's death.
