Matthew Tidwell, a 42-year-old man from Orange County, California, was found dead on January 9, 2019, in Fresno County. His body was discovered early in the morning at the intersection of Herndon and Dower avenues. Initially, his death was investigated as a hit-and-run incident. However, upon further examination by the California Highway Patrol officers, it was revealed that Tidwell had suffered a gunshot wound, leading to the classification of his death as a homicide.
