On October 31, 2023, 17-year-old Bryan Tapia Valencia was fatally shot in Bay Point, California. The incident occurred around 9:25 p.m. on Island View Court in the Shore Acres neighborhood, where neighbors reported hearing approximately 30 to 40 gunshots. Upon arrival, Contra Costa County sheriff's deputies found Tapia Valencia with multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate life-saving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
