Upon arrival, they discovered Stephanie Silva, a 43-year-old woman, with a gunshot wound to her upper torso. Paramedics from the Los Angeles County Fire Department pronounced her dead at the scene.
In addition to Silva, deputies found a man, estimated to be between 30 and 35 years old, also suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was transported to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Initial reports mistakenly indicated that the man had succumbed to his injuries; however, authorities later clarified his survival.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner's office later identified the deceased woman as Stephanie Silva. The coroner's report classified her death as a homicide resulting from a gunshot wound to the torso.
