On July 25, 2023, at approximately 4:00 a.m., Fresno Police Department officers responded to an 11-round ShotSpotter alert in the 4200 block of East Grant Avenue in Fresno, California. Upon arrival, they discovered 34-year-old Robert Garza suffering from multiple gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
