On January 2, 2023, 51-year-old Victor Becerra was fatally shot inside his apartment in Fresno, California. The incident occurred when a bullet fired from the adjacent apartment penetrated the shared wall, striking Becerra as he sat at his kitchen table holding his 11-month-old granddaughter. Emergency responders transported Becerra to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
