On December 18, 2024, at approximately 4:14 a.m., officers from the Orlando Police Department responded to a reported suspicious incident at the Avalyn West Apartments on Ivey Lane in Orlando, Florida. Upon arrival, they discovered the body of 46-year-old Jerome Thomas, who had suffered fatal injuries.
Following an investigation, authorities identified 50-year-old Carleton D. Sealey as a suspect in Thomas's death. Sealey was arrested on December 21, 2024, and is facing multiple charges
