The incident occurred just after midnight on Post Plant Road, where deputies from the Gadsden County Sheriff's Office discovered Kilgore and 26-year-old BreShawn Malone fatally wounded. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
Kilgore was born on January 13, 2004, in South Kingstown, Rhode Island, and later moved to Quincy, Florida. He graduated from Gadsden County High School in 2023, where he participated in basketball, track, football, and JROTC. After high school, Kilgore enlisted in the Army as a computer analyst, aiming to serve his country. Before commencing basic training, he worked at Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee and later joined Hibbett Sports, maintaining his focus on re-enlisting in the Army.
The Gadsden County Sheriff's Office, in collaboration with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, is actively investigating the double homicide. Authorities have identified a person of interest but have not named any suspects or made arrests.
