In the late afternoon of December 21, 2024, tragedy struck in Prince George's County, Maryland, when 21-year-old Jacquis Frye of Capitol Heights was fatally shot. The male victim was discovered in the roadway near the intersection of Walker Mill Road and Karen Boulevard in the unincorporated section of District Heights at approximately 4:20 p.m. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Frye suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
