In the early morning hours of December 17, 2021, the life of 30-year-old Tykeem Jones, a Black male from Bridgeport, Connecticut, was tragically cut short. Just a week before Christmas, Jones was in Stratford at the intersection of Light Street and Barnum Avenue when gunfire erupted around 1 a.m. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered two victims. Jones was pronounced dead at the scene, while a female victim was transported to a local hospital to be treated for her injuries.
