In the early hours of a Sunday morning in October 2017, the life of Allen Cox, a 25-year-old Black man from Hartford, Connecticut, was irrevocably altered. On October 15th, at approximately 12:38 a.m., Hartford police responded to a call at 35 Whitmore Street. There, they discovered Allen Cox unresponsive, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel treated him at the scene before rushing him to Hartford Hospital, where he was listed in critical condition.
