Eric Washington, a 25-year-old African American male, was fatally shot on April 29, 2015, in the University Village neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred shortly after noon in the 1200 block of West Washburne Avenue, near his residence. According to police reports, Eric Washington was standing in a parking lot when he was shot in the back and abdomen. He was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:45 p.m.
