In the early morning hours of August 2, 2021, the body of 22-year-old Jamar Patterson Jr., a Black male, was discovered by a passerby on the side of Delong Road in Lexington, Kentucky. The Lexington Police Department was dispatched to the scene, between Armstrong Mill Road and Colliver Lane, at approximately 6:46 a.m. where they found Patterson unresponsive.
