In the fall of 2014, 19-year-old Tarrah Danielle Nemetz, a White female, was settling into married life in Lakewood, Washington. On October 16, her life was cut short in the apartment she shared with her husband, 20-year-old Skylar Nemetz, a soldier stationed at Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Tarrah was found with a fatal gunshot wound to the back of her head, inflicted by an AR-15 rifle.
