Partahi Mamora Halomoan Lumbantoruan, known as "Mora," was a 34-year-old Ph.D. student in civil engineering at Virginia Tech. He tragically lost his life on April 16, 2007, during the Virginia Tech massacre, one of the deadliest school shootings in U.S. history. Mora was among the 32 students and faculty members who were killed by Seung-Hui Cho, a fellow student who carried out the attack before taking his own life.
