On a Sunday evening in August of 2022, a young man’s life was cut tragically short on a street in north St. Louis. Kristopher Steven Blanton, a 27-year-old male from O'Fallon, Missouri, was found lying in the street in the Walnut Park West neighborhood. Police responded to a call for a shooting at around 6:15 p.m. and discovered Blanton unconscious and not breathing. He had sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
