On the early morning of July 4, 2022, in Kansas City, Missouri, police officers were dispatched to the 5700 block of Mersington Avenue following reports of gunfire. Around 3:45 a.m., responding units arrived at a residence in the area, where they were directed to the backyard. There, they discovered the body of a Hispanic male who had sustained gunshot wounds. Emergency medical personnel pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.
