In the summer of 2022, a burst of gunfire shattered the evening calm in the Kingsway East neighborhood of St. Louis, leaving a family grieving and a community searching for answers. On the evening of June 4th, 52-year-old Jimmie Trussell was discovered inside a vehicle in the 4700 block of Labadie Avenue, having sustained a fatal gunshot wound to the chest.
