On July 15, 2019, the body of Heron Armando Arciniega, a 60-year-old Hispanic male, was discovered in San Diego, California. A pest-control worker, conducting routine checks for insect infestations, entered Heron's single-room occupancy apartment that morning. The door was unlocked, and upon entering, the worker found Heron's body in bed. The condition of the body suggested he had been deceased for some time, as significant decomposition had set in.
