On a summer day in August of 2018, 43-year-old Brian Steven Woodrum was near his parents' home in Ravia, Oklahoma. He was walking along the Burlington-Northern railroad tracks with his girlfriend. At some point, she reportedly fell, and Brian, who was several hundred yards ahead of her, continued walking and disappeared around a curve in the track. That was the last time he was seen. When he vanished, he was wearing black jeans and a black faded t-shirt that had a number printed in white on it. The Johnston County Sheriff's Office was the investigating agency in his disappearance. Brian was born on June 11, 1975, at Bitburg Air Force Base in Germany. He spent his early years in Ravia, attending Ravia Public Schools before moving on to Tishomingo High School. As an adult, he worked as a truck driver and was a talented mechanic who had a passion for bringing old vehicles back to life. He was known for his ability to fix cars, trucks, motorcycles, and dirt bikes. His family and friends remember his enthusiasm and generous spirit. The search for Brian ended in the spring of 2024. Regrettably, Brian was located deceased, and his family announced that he had passed away on March 24, 2024. The circumstances surrounding his death have not been publicly detailed. A celebration of his life was scheduled to be held in July 2024. The case of what happened to Brian Woodrum after he walked around that bend in the railroad tracks remains a quiet mystery, leaving his loved ones with unanswered questions. His disappearance and subsequent death left a void in the lives of his parents, daughter, and brothers.
