In the early hours of a late April morning in 2022, a 53-year-old woman named Xiao Hua Jiang, who also went by the English name Christina, left a friend's home in West Vancouver, British Columbia. She was last seen at approximately 1:00 a.m. on April 27th. At the time of her disappearance, she was described as being five-feet-four-inches tall, weighing around 110 pounds, with shoulder-length black hair and grey-brown eyes. She was believed to be wearing a dark-colored jacket and grey yoga-style pants. Her sudden silence was deeply felt by her two adult children, who were living abroad and maintained a close and regular relationship with their mother. Their concern grew into alarm when their daily calls and messages went unanswered, a stark departure from their usual communication. The mystery of her whereabouts deepened when, on May 2, 2022, her vehicle, a grey 2021 Toyota Highlander, was discovered abandoned on the side of the Trans-Canada Highway. The car was located between Revelstoke and Golden, a remote and mountainous region of British Columbia, far from her last known location. The vehicle had sustained mechanical damage, rendering it undrivable. A search of the surrounding area was promptly initiated by the Golden RCMP, including the use of police dogs, but tragically, no sign of Xiao Hua Jiang was found.
