In the fall of 2008, a young man named Dylan Koshman was embarking on a new chapter of his life. At 21 years old, he had moved from his hometown of Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, to Edmonton, Alberta, in May of that year. He was living with two of his cousins and working for a pipe-fitting company, with aspirations of starting an apprenticeship. This new life, however, took a tragic and mysterious turn. In the early morning hours of October 11, 2008, Dylan, a male with brown hair and hazel eyes, was last seen leaving his home in south Edmonton, in the area of 104 Street and 33 Avenue. He has not been seen or heard from since that night. The evening of his disappearance, Dylan was at a gathering at his home with his cousins. An argument broke out between Dylan and his roommates, and he was asked to leave the residence. It was just after 2 a.m. when Dylan walked out of the house into the cold, wearing only jeans, a dark-colored t-shirt, and skateboarding shoes. His girlfriend reported him missing four days later, on October 15. The only physical trace of him found was his wallet, which was discovered in a neighboring yard. Since he vanished, there has been no activity on his cell phone or any of his bank accounts. Over the years, the search for answers has been relentless, led by a family desperate for closure. Despite their efforts, which included putting up tens of thousands of posters, the investigation yielded few leads. The Edmonton Police Service has investigated Dylan's disappearance, and for a long time, it was treated as a missing person case. However, as years passed with no sign of Dylan, investigators' suspicions grew. The case was eventually reclassified and transferred to the homicide department, with police stating that the circumstances surrounding the night he went missing were highly suspicious. Investigators have expressed that it is unlikely for someone to simply vanish without a trace and that they believe individuals who were with Dylan that night have not been entirely truthful. The case remains unsolved and is currently suspended, waiting for new information that might finally bring a resolution to the lingering questions of what happened to Dylan Koshman after he walked out into the night.
