The subsequent search of the surrounding land, which spanned 89 square kilometers, and an underwater search by a dive team, unfortunately, yielded no trace of Jason. The years that have passed since Jason McGrath's disappearance have been filled with unanswered questions for his family. They have actively sought information, even releasing photos from a camera found in his kayak in the hopes that someone might recognize the coastline and provide a clue. His family has expressed frustration with the official investigation, feeling that more could have been done. Jason is described as a white male, five feet six inches tall, weighing 120 pounds, with dark brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing light brown shorts, while other reports state he was wearing a black t-shirt and beige shorts. The case of Jason William McGrath remains an unsettling mystery, a story of a man who embarked on a solo journey and never returned, leaving behind only his empty kayak and a family left to wonder what happened on that summer day.
