In early March of 2020, concern began to grow for 45-year-old Steven Greg Woytowich, a man who was last seen in the Beverly area of Edmonton, Alberta. The last contact anyone had with him was in February of that year, and his disappearance prompted an appeal to the public for information by the Edmonton Police Service. At the time he went missing, Woytowich was described as a white male, standing 5'4" tall and weighing approximately 149 pounds. He has brown hair and green eyes.
Distinguishing features include a scar on his left shin and a tattoo of a woman on a mushroom on his left forearm.
The investigation into Woytowich's whereabouts revealed that he was known to frequent several areas within Edmonton, including the 118 Avenue area, the Kingsway neighbourhood, Whyte Avenue, and the Gateway Boulevard/45 Avenue area. He was reportedly of no fixed address around the time of his disappearance. The Edmonton Police Service's Missing Persons Unit took charge of the case, circulating his description and unique tattoos in the hopes that someone might come forward with information. His case file, EPS File #20-73499, was established as investigators sought to piece together the timeline of his last known movements.
Months after he was last seen, a possible lead emerged in November 2020, suggesting that Woytowich may have been in the Drayton Valley area, a town southwest of Edmonton. This prompted the Drayton Valley RCMP to request public assistance in locating him on behalf of the Edmonton Police Service. Despite these efforts, information regarding his location remained elusive. The case of Steven Woytowich is one of quiet uncertainty, a story of a man who seemingly vanished from the familiar streets he frequented. The lack of resolution leaves a void for those who knew him, a narrative without an ending as they await any news that might shed light on what happened to him after he was last seen in the early days of March 2020.Last Seen: Mar 4, 2020
