On March 22, 1990, Robert Davis, Jr., a 26-year-old processor from Renton, was aboard the 162-foot fishing trawler, the Aleutian Enterprise, when it capsized and sank in the Bering Sea. The vessel went down approximately 60 miles south of Saint Paul Island. Davis was a former Navy man and this was reportedly his last fishing trip before he planned to return to Connecticut to work in a family business. He is one of nine crew members who were lost in the disaster.
