Michael Ken Barney, a 30-year-old man from Soldotna, Alaska, has been missing since April 27, 1989, after the fishing vessel he was on sank. Barney, along with three other crew members, disappeared when the 42-foot fiberglass salmon fishing vessel, the Legend, overturned and sank in the vicinity of Cape Douglas in southwest Cook Inlet. An official report of the incident was filed with the Alaska State Troopers on April 29, 1989.
