On January 5, 1986, 26-year-old Joseph "Randy" Randall Knutson and his crewman, Richard "Rich" Alvin Behmlander, departed from Sitka, Alaska, aboard the 40-foot fishing vessel, the *Camelot*. The two men, accompanied by a golden retriever, were heading to the fishing grounds just outside Salisbury Sound to fish for rockfish. They were expected to return on January 9, 1986.
