Alex Lee Ashley, 36, was last seen on August 8, 1984, in Soldotna, Alaska. He was on an airboat that was known to have mechanical problems, traveling from Pate Lodge on Buchatna Creek to the Rig Tenders dock on the East Forelands. The airboat was reported as overdue, and there were possible sightings of it going in circles before it headed southeast toward Ninilchik.
At the time of his disappearance, Ashley was described as a white male, 5'8" tall, and weighing approximately 165 pounds.
