Abel David Castellanos Camacho, 16, was found shot in the chest on July 19, 2022, outside the apartment complex where he lived with his family in Suwanee, Georgia. His family had moved to the United States from Venezuela six years earlier, seeking safety from violence they’d experienced there.

Suwanee police identified and arrested three teenagers in connection with the killing. The suspects named are 17-year-old Jermaine Dandy-rimson, 17-year-old Joshua Ryan Petit, and 16-year-old Miguel Gabriel Flores. They face charges including felony murder, armed robbery, and aggravated assault. The victim’s mother says Abel did not know the individuals accused of his murder; the family has since moved away from the apartment complex.

Does anyone have information about Abel or the neighborhood around that time that could help clarify what happened?
