Sylvia Linda Klayh was 14 when she disappeared from her family’s cottage on Brereton Lake in Manitoba on August 13, 1967. After a verbal disagreement with her father that morning, she left the cottage about 11:00 a.m. without saying where she was going and was last seen in an orange and beige striped cotton blouse, blue and green Bermuda-style shorts, and brown sandals. She was described as 5 feet 6 inches, 119 pounds, with a slender build, fair complexion, and long brown hair.

Family and neighbouring cottage owners searched the area that day but found nothing. No trace of Sylvia or her belongings has ever been located, and she never contacted family or friends. Initially treated as a runaway, the case was later reclassified as a suspected homicide as the absence of any sightings or contact persisted.

If anyone remembers Sylvia or the Brereton Lake area in August 1967, does any detail stand out that could help explain what happened to her?
