On the afternoon of October 2, 2021, violence erupted in a residential neighborhood of Kansas City, Missouri, claiming the lives of three young adults. Police officers were dispatched to the area of 27th Street and Spruce Avenue just before 4:00 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Upon their arrival, first responders discovered three victims who had sustained gunshot wounds and were unresponsive.
