Devin L. Smith, a 31-year-old resident of Kansas City, Missouri, was tragically shot and killed on March 4, 2021. The incident occurred in the 3300 block of Montgall Avenue. According to reports, officers were dispatched to the area just before 1 p.m. in response to a call about gunfire. Upon arrival, they found Smith unresponsive in the front yard of a residence with an apparent gunshot wound. Emergency medical services were called to the scene, but Smith was declared dead upon their arrival.
