On the evening of August 12, 2022, a sense of normalcy in a Capitol Heights, Maryland, convenience store parking lot was shattered by the sound of gunfire. When police arrived at the scene in the 6300 block of Seat Pleasant Drive, they found 16-year-old Antonio Parker Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds.
