In the early morning hours of June 18, 2022, a sense of stillness was broken in a Riverdale, Maryland neighborhood. It was there, on the 5400 block of Powhatan Road, that 20-year-old Arnold Javier Nuñez Alfaro was found inside his vehicle at approximately 1:35 a.m. He had sustained gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Alfaro, a resident of Riverdale, was of Hispanic ethnicity.
