On the evening of June 2, 2020, a simple act of neighborliness turned tragic, leading to the death of 51-year-old Roderick Daniels in Baltimore, Maryland. Daniels, a U.S. Army Sergeant First Class, and another 35-year-old man were shot in the 5600 block of Haddon Avenue. The incident began when Daniels and his neighbor noticed that a female neighbor had left her keys in her apartment door.
