On the evening of July 5, 2014, Robert Hodge, a 23-year-old man from Baltimore, was caught in a burst of gunfire on the 1500 block of Whitelock Street. Police said officers were called to the block around 7:50 p.m., and when they arrived they found him wounded, the shots still close enough in time that responding officers reported hearing gunfire as they moved in.
