In the autumn of 2011, the life of Maricus Kyle Perkins, a 20-year-old Black/African American man from Baltimore, Maryland, was tragically cut short. On the afternoon of October 3rd, Perkins was the victim of a fatal shooting that occurred during an attempted armed robbery in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Maryland. He was transported to the University of Maryland Hospital, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries.
