On a summer evening in New Orleans, the life of 33-year-old Lamonte George was cut short by gunfire. The incident occurred on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, in the St. Claude neighborhood. George, a resident of Slidell, was discovered in the driveway of a home located in the 3700 block of North Villere Street. When first responders arrived at the scene around 9 p.m., they found him suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the location.
