Andrew LaVelle Price II, a 36-year-old man from Gardena, California, was tragically shot and killed on November 30, 2019. The incident occurred around 8:49 p.m. in the 13200 block of South Wilkie Avenue. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s records, Price was standing on the sidewalk with a group of people when two vehicles drove by and opened fire.
Price was struck by a bullet in the hip and was subsequently transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 10:13 p.m.
Price, who was also known by his stage names "Deviossi" and "Young Saprano," was a hip-hop artist featured in a Mack 10 single called “The Testimony.” He was visiting his parents over the holiday weekend when the shooting occurred. The two suspect vehicles involved in the drive-by shooting were described as a silver Lexus sedan and a dark-colored BMW. Despite the release of surveillance videos by the Gardena Police Department showing a silver sedan near the scene, no arrests have been made, and the suspects remain at large.
The Gardena Police Department has been actively investigating the case, urging anyone with information to come forward. Detectives have been focusing on identifying the vehicles and their occupants, but as of now, no significant breakthroughs have been reported. The community and Price's family continue to seek justice for his untimely death, hoping that new leads will eventually surface to solve the case.
