On the evening of May 29, 2019, Armando Torres Jr., a 31-year-old resident of San Diego, California, was tragically shot to death at the Willie Henderson Sports Complex in the Mountain View neighborhood. The incident occurred during a soccer game, with numerous players and spectators present. Torres Jr. suffered multiple traumatic gunshot wounds to his upper body and was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of officers and San Diego Fire-Rescue personnel to revive him.
