Jose Duran Jr., a 29-year-old resident of Fresno, California, tragically lost his life on April 7, 2019, in a heroic act of bravery. On that fateful day, Jose was assisting his sister in moving out of her home due to ongoing domestic violence issues with her husband, Eric Ordonez. As tensions escalated, Ordonez allegedly pulled out a handgun and aimed it at his wife. In a courageous attempt to protect his sister, Jose stepped in between them.
