Chloe Marie Corona, a 28-year-old woman from Lancaster, California, was tragically killed on February 5, 2019. According to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner records, Chloe was found with multiple gunshot wounds in a home located in the 44000 block of Cedar Avenue. The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department responded to a 911 hang-up call at approximately 2:10 a.m. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the front door of the house open and several individuals standing outside.
Inside, they found Chloe lying on the living room floor, where she was pronounced dead at 2:30 a.m. The cause of death was determined to be multiple gunshot wounds.
The investigation into Chloe's death revealed that she lived a few miles away from the location where she was found, and it remains unclear why she was at the Cedar Avenue residence. A man who claimed to live alone in the house reported that he was in another room when he heard gunshots and subsequently found Chloe on the floor. The individuals who were present outside the house were detained for questioning but were later released due to their lack of cooperation. As a result, the relationship between Chloe and the people at the house, as well as the identity of the shooter, remains unknown.
In the months following the incident, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department identified Reggie Candler, a 38-year-old man, as a person of interest in the case. Candler was sought for questioning regarding Chloe's murder, but investigators did not disclose why he was considered a person of interest or any potential motives for the killing. Despite efforts to locate him, Candler's whereabouts remained unknown, and no arrests were made in connection with Chloe's death.
