On October 13, 2018, Jjuan Sanders, a 38-year-old resident of Pittsburg, California, was fatally shot in a downtown parking lot on the 600 block of Cumberland Street. The incident occurred shortly before 2 a.m., following an argument between Sanders and another individual. Responders rushed Sanders to a hospital, but he succumbed to his injuries from the gunshot wound.
