In the spring of 2017, the life of Donald Holbrook, a 26-year-old Black man from Baltimore, Maryland, was tragically cut short. On the evening of May 2nd, violence erupted at the 3100 block of West North Avenue, resulting in a double shooting. First responders found Holbrook at the scene, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center for emergency medical treatment.
